1.
Trying to learn everything before telling people what you’re doing. Just introduce people to what the business or the product can do for them.
2.
Reinventing the wheel. Many successful people in Direct Selling came before you and they have made every mistake in the book. Learn from their mistakes! If we give advice that doesn’t make sense at first, trust it. Remember, reasons come first, answers second.
3.
Trying to do the business on your own. If you don’t have a partner, then team up with at least one upline person and several downline people. This business requires cooperation and rewards teamwork.
5.
Quitting too early. Have the mindset that your first 6 months are your education phase. Any money you make is a bonus. Only count “working” months in this 6 month period.
6.
Saying too much, especially when you’re new and don’t know the answers to questions and objections. You MUST partner with your sponsor. If your sponsor is new, then find an ENTHUSIASTIC and KNOWLEDGEABLE upline sponsor to help you.
7.
Assuming that your upline will build one of your two legs. You have two legs and you are responsible for both. If you get spillover, you are lucky. You can help yourself by helping your downline.
8.
Pre-judging people on their interest, or lack thereof, in either the business or the product. Many people will surprise you and join Talk Fusion if given the chance.
9.
Not following up. When you send video emails, follow-up. You know when they watch it, so follow-up immediately. Set a reminder to follow up every few days. Keep following up every 3 days until they sign up or their interest ends. Then, follow up again in 3 weeks to 3 months. Many people often get re-interested as their circumstances change.
10.
Fear of selling, of objections or of what others will say about Direct Selling. Remember, if you’re sharing the opportunity or the product correctly, it’s not selling, it’s sharing. Share why you joined or why you love the video email product. Keep it simple; send the IWET Video Emails. Like anything else you enjoy doing in life, you want to share it with others.
