To succeed in Network Marketing, you need to help your downline succeed. Very few people are naturals in this business and most need training — a lot of training. While this site does provide a comprehensive source of valuable information, it is essential to also provide hands-on guidance to your Associates, especially when they are new to the business.

Here are the Top 10 Training Tips useful for both your overall downline and for your new Associates.

1.
Meet with all your new, personally sponsored Associates immediately. Important Note: If you are sponsoring Associates long distance, and can’t meet in person, send a Video Email introduction thanking them for joining your business. This will create an immediate bond.

Have your new Associates set goals as soon as they join. See the Top 10 Goals page for some fantastic examples of good, solid goals to set for you and your Associates’ first months with Talk Fusion. Setting goals is the key to running a successful business, especially when you and your Associates can “sit down” and set goals together. This way, your Associates are more likely to commit to achieving those goals.
3.
Meeting immediately should be re-stated. Most people sign up at the peak of their interest and excitement. The longer you wait for your first training meeting, the less excitement they feel and the more likely they are to lose interest in getting started.
4.
Meet frequently early on. You may want to contact your Associates every day for the first 2-3 weeks. Try to have the new Associate plug in to the system each week by attending a meeting, training or conference call.
5.
A favorite line in the Network Marketing is “call your downline when you’re up, and call your upline when you’re down”.  In other words, if you are not feeling 100% positive and upbeat, don’t call your downline — call your upline. Your upline will pump you up and remind you why you’re in this business. Once you’re feeling good again, call your downline.

Know and remember your “Why”. Get your downline to verbalize their “Why”. A “Why” is someone’s reason for joining Talk Fusion. Everyone says they want more freedom and money. But WHY? I want my freedom so I can… raise my kids, travel more, etc. I want more money, not for the sake of money… but because my bills are stacking up, I need to save for my child’s college education, etc. Know your “Why” and help your downline express their “Why”.

Use your Associates’ “Why” to motivate them when they are down. If they take the advice of calling their upline — you — when they are down and you know their “Why”, you can use that to re-motivate them. Say to your Associate, “You know, Mary, you told me that being able to send your kids to private school was a huge motivator for you. Can you tell me more about it?” From there, the conversation will help naturally get Mary re-motivated since she’s reminded WHAT she’s working for and WHY.
8.
Use the Talk Fusion Video Email product frequently to stay in touch with your new Associates. You don’t always have to get together at someone’s house. 3-way conference calls are also a great way to stay in touch. However, nothing beats a personal video message.
9.
Use the Top 10 lists from this site. Print one list out, bring it to your next training meeting or event, read over each point and then ask for feedback and testimonials. Get a conversation going. It’s always interesting to hear how others have applied ideas and what kind of results or feedback they received.
